Stanley Cup Tips
The NHL action comes thick and fast throughout the regular season with each team playing 82 games, totalling 1,271 total regular-season games. We at Degen bring the best picks from the almost daily action.
Our Picks:
Avalanche ML @8/11 vs Wild
Not taking the Avs at these odds would be silly. The Stanley Cup champs who still have the best offense in the league travel to the 0-2 Wild who’s defence has been completely non-existent this far, giving up 7 goals in each of their first two games. The Avs are 1-1 with their loss coming to a very good Flames team on the end of a traveling back to back in which their backup played. Give me the Avs here at some very decent odds (relatively speaking for an Avs ML), they should light the Wild up.
Rangers ML @4/9 vs Ducks
Rangers coming off a loss on their second game of a back to back. We like this pick against a weak Ducks team on the road. Between Fowler, Klingberg, Drysdale, and Shattenkirk, the Ducks have a very offense-orientated defensive core. We believe this is a weakspot that will be exploited by a Rangers team that has tons of depth. Were not keen on 3way mone lines because hockey is random, but the 3way pick is a great play here if its your thing.
Panthers ML @8/11 vs Bruins
Hard to get a gauge of how good the Bruins are as they’re basically the same team, just a year older, but with McAvoy and Marchand out, we’ll take a punt on this game. The Garden is a tough place to play, but the Panthers have a lot of talent to get this done. We could see this line dropping lower.
Kings ML @5/6 vs Wings
Wings have had a pretty easy schedule to start the season so we wouldn’t put much stock into their 2-0 start. They’re still a fairly shallow team with a lot of defensive flaws. The Kings will be their biggest test so far so we’ll see how that goes, but were liking the depth of LA against Detroit.
Hurricanes ML @4/7 vs Kraken
Hurricanes continuing their west coast trip with a stop in Seattle. The Kraken are incredibly hit or miss, but at these odds, we’ll take a shot. Hurricanes lost to the Kraken last year so we don’t think they’ll take them lightly again. Realistically, they have too much depth and skill so hopefully it’s not a deja vu moment again.
