The Top 14 is a professional rugby union club competition that is played in France. Created in 1892, the Top 14 is at the top of the national league system operated by the French National Rugby League, also known by its French initialism of LNR.

Lyon (-2) @10/11 vs La Rochelle
The first thing to note is that the home advantage in Top 14 is massive in Top 14 on average the home team will win by 8.84 points. Last season Lyon at home by an average of 12 points per game. La Rochelle were the best home team last season but lost away by an average of 5 so already for me the handicap is favouring Lyon. Lyon had a very impressive win away from home last week to Brive who are very good at home. Lyon have not done much in the market and their team is very similar to last season bar the loss of Barassi. As for La Rochelle a good 4 point win vs Montpeiller last week and some great additions such as Antonie Hastoy but a long season last season with a fair few changes in the squad they may find it hard down in Lyon.
Perpingnan (-5) @10/11 vs Brive
Perpignan had the 3rd worst home form in the Top 14 last year and won by an average 4.91 points. Played very well last week with a close loss to Pau. Brive with the worst away record in Top 14 last year losing by an average away by 21.
Castres (-6) @5/6 vs Stade Français
Castres record at home last season was almost impeccable and won by an average of over 9 points. As for Stade Français they lost games away from home by an average of 13 points. They were lucky to beat Clermont last week. Castres were disappointing last week and I do have question marks over their last run in the post season last year but I can still see them winning here by more than 6.
Bayonne (+3) @10/11 vs Racing 92
Bayonne is a special place for rugby, and after a year out of Top 14 where they dominated the Pro D2 I expect them to come out here fighting. Racing lost to Biarritz away last season and we shall see if they can put up the fight of Bayonne. When offered a plus on a home team in France I would usually bite their hand off added with Bayonne bring in the likes of Camille Lopez.
