The US Open Tennis Championships is a hardcourt tennis tournament held annually in Queens, New York. Since 1987, the US Open has been chronologically the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year. The other three, in chronological order, are the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon.

Both these players are pushing for there first Grand Slam semi-final.
This will be the 3rd time that Andrey Rublev and Frances Tiafoe clash against each other. The head to head is 1-1 for Rublev and Tiafoe, but thats on hard court so evenly matched here.
The last time that they fought against each other, Rublev won 6-3 6-4 in the 3rd round in Indian wells back in March 2022.
Tiafoe struck 18 aces and he committed only 4 double faults. Overall, Frances Tiafoe was extremely efficient on serve to win 76% (44/58) of his 1st serve and 60% (35/58) on the second serve. Sidelined by a broken arm suffered during a fall in the gym during the offseason, Pliskova didn’t even start her 2022 campaign until Indian Wells.
And she didn’t win back-to-back matches until Strasbourg, the week before the French Open. It’s been slow; the Czech only sported a 15-14 won-loss record coming into the US Open.
But this may give an edge as she is fresh and has been playing her be tennis here.
