Benavidez was a 15 to 1 favourite against a journeyman his first time fighting at 54 and most people thought he lost. his leg is shattered and he’s a stationary target that keeps his hands down whilst fighting on the front foot. his style is tailor made for Garcia who’s real economical with his punches especially in exchange situations where Benavidez is most vulnerable having been KO’d by Crawford in the middle of one. The move to 54 could also benefit Garcia’s punching power not having to cut extra weight. he even said in an interview he looks to end the fight within 7 rounds.
