The 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022, is an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth that is scheduled to be held in Birmingham, England from 28 July to 8 August 2022.
Most events will be held in or around The Alexander Stadium, just outside Birmingham City centre.
Countries Taking Part:
The Commonwealth Games Federation has 72 members – split into the six regions of Africa, Americas, Asia, Caribbean, Europe and Oceania.
In total 72 teams will take part in the 2022 Games, this number consists of 54 countries and 18 territories.
Six teams have competed at every Commonwealth Games since the inaugural tournament of 1930 which took place in Hamilton, New Zealand.
