Euro 2022 starts Wednesday 6th July 2022, the competition is been held in England and Kicks off at 8pm With England vs Austria.

The 2022 UEFA European Women’s Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, will be the 13th edition of the UEFA Women’s Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the women’s national teams of Europe.

Our Top 4 Picks Outright:

England – Hosts @4/1 – To Win

England head into the Women’s Euro 2022 among the favourites to win the tournament but even as early as the group stages there will be hurdles to overcome. Kicking off group A on Wednesday they will face Austria, then Norway and Northern Ireland complete the group. We don’t expect NI to offer much and hope that Austria is a simple task, Norway could offer some resistance but after not having to qualify as there the host nation are they fully prepared?

There is heavy expectation for England to do well at the impending tournament, not only because they are hosts but also due to the improvements made under manager Sarina Wiegman.

England Squad:

Goalkeepers: Mary Earps (Manchester United), Hannah Hampton (Aston Villa), Ellie Roebuck (Manchester City)

Defenders: Millie Bright (Chelsea), Lucy Bronze (Manchester City), Jess Carter (Chelsea), Rachel Daly (Houston), Alex Greenwood (Manchester City), Demi Stokes (Manchester City), Lotte Wubben-Moy (Arsenal)

Midfielders: Fran Kirby (Chelsea), Jill Scott (Manchester City), Georgia Stanway (Bayern Munich), Ella Toone (Manchester United), Keira Walsh (Manchester City), Leah Williamson (Arsenal)

Forwards: Bethany England (Chelsea), Lauren Hemp (Manchester City), Chloe Kelly (Manchester City), Beth Mead (Arsenal), Nikita Parris (Arsenal), Alessia Russo (Manchester United), Ellen White (Manchester City)

Spain – @7/2 – Top 3

Spain enjoyed an excellent qualifying campaign. La Roja booked their place by finishing top of Group D, six points ahead of the Czech Republic. No one could get close to the Spaniards. They registered seven wins, one draw and no defeats, scoring 48 goals and conceding just once. This will make them hard to bet against and why they enter the tournament as favourites. Group B is made up of Spain, Germany Denmark and Finland so probably one of the hardest groups.

Spain Squad:

Goalkeepers: María Isabel Rodríguez (Real Madrid) Sandra Pańos (Barcelona)

Defenders: Laia Aleixandri (Atletico Madrid) Ivana Andrés (Real Madrid) Ona Batlle (Manchester United)  Olga Carmona (Real Madrid)  Sheila García (Atletico Madrid)  María Pilar León (Barcelona)  Leila Ouahabi (Barcelona) Irene Paredes (Barcelona) Andrea Pereira (Barcelona)

Midfielders: Aitana Bonmatí (Barcelona) Mariona Caldentey (Barcelona) Irene Guerrero (Levante) Patri Guijarro (Barcelona) Alexia Putellas (Barcelona)

Forwards: Marta Cardona (Real Madrid) Athenea del Castillo (Real MAdrid) Lucía García (Atletico Madrid) Esther González (Real Madrid) Salma Paralluelo (Villareal) Clàudia Pina (Barcelona)

Netherlands – @6/1 – Top4

What are the Orange Lionesses worth without Wiegman? That’s the big question. After four and a half glorious years, the successful coach crossed the Channel last summer of 2021 to take over at the helm of English women’s football. In the search for a successor, the Royal Dutch Football Association (the KNVB) expressed the ambition to find a “Sarina Plus”. That was easier said than done. We still expect a good showing from a great team, But new era of manager and Group C, this is the danger group made up of  Sweden and Switzerland (Russia Omitted from the Tournament) Meaning most likely the winner of Sweden vs Netherlands been group toppers will be the best passage through, unless the Swiss pull off an upset so will be interesting. Could the 1 game less work as an advantage rest wise?

Netherlands Squad:

Goalkeepers: Sari van Veenendaal (PSV) Daphne van Domselaar (FC Twente) Barbara Lorsheyd (ADO Den Haag)

Defenders: Aniek Nouwen (Chelsea) Stefanie van der Gragt (Ajax) Merel van Dongen (Atletico Madrid) Lynn Wilms (Wolfsburg) Caitlin Dijkstra (Twente) Dominique Janssen (Wolfsburg) Kerstin Casparij (Twente) Marisa Olislagers (Twente)

Midfielders: Sherida Spitse (Ajax) Victoria Pelova (Ajax) Damaris Egurrola (Lyon) Jackie Groenen (Manchester United) Daniëlle van de Donk (Lyon) Jill Roord (Wolfsburg)

Forwards: Renate Jansen (FC Twente) Romée Leuchter (Ajax) Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal) Esmee Brugts (PSV) Lieke Martens (Barcelona) Lineth Beerensteyn (Bayern Munich)

France – @5/1 – Top 4

France will be hoping for an improved showing at the UEFA 2022 Women’s European Championship after an underwhelming display at the 2019 World Cup, and we think they will bring it. They are currently ranked third in the world by FIFA, behind only the United States and Sweden and will be expected to progress from Group D, which also contains Italy, Belgium and Iceland. Corinne Diacre’s side will be aiming to emulate the success of the country’s most successful women’s team, Lyon, who beat Barcelona in the Champions League final earlier this season.

French Squad:

Goalkeepers: Mylene Chavas (Bordeaux), Justine Lerond (Metz), Pauline Peyraud-Magnin (Juventus)

Defenders: Selma Bacha (Lyon), Hawa Cissoko (West Ham), Sakina Karchaoui (Paris Saint-Germain), Griedge Mbock Bathy (Lyon), Eve Perisset (Bordeaux), Wendie Renard (Lyon), Marion Torrent (Montpellier), Aissatou Tounkara (Atletico Madrid)

Midfielders: Charlotte Bilbault (Bordeaux), Kenza Dali (Everton), Grace Geyoro (Paris Saint-Germain), Ella Palis (Bordeaux), Sandie Toletti (Levante)

Forwards: Sandy Baltimore (Paris Saint-Germain), Delphine Cascarino (Lyon), Kadidiatou Diani (Paris Saint-Germain), Marie-Antoinette Katoto (Paris Saint-Germain), Melvine Mallard (Lyon), Clara Mateo (Paris FC), Ouleymata Sarr (Paris FC)
