SAT 11 JUN 2022 – 19:00 GMT

This is the biggest BKB event of the year so far by far! The fights on BKB26 are going to be epic, this show has the best talent in the UK Bare Knuckle World (Baring maybe one or two who fought at BKB25) and us here at Degen can not wait.

After an emotional BKB 25 where we remembered Barrington Patterson after his shock death #RIPBAZ we arrive at BKB 26 with a host of our favourite fighters taking to the ring on 11th June including, Dorian Darch, Eric Olsen, Ryan Barrett, Nathan Leeson, Paul Hilz, Anthony Holmes and the next world champ Daniel Podmore. What a night with no less then Three yes (3) World Title matches and a Huge British Title fight were set to be spoilt.

Fight Card and Our Picks:

Meikle vs Podmore: World Title Fight

We start here and what a fight to start with, Meikle is a journey man who shocked us back at BKB 24 when he beat Dorian Darch with a cut stoppage (it was a good one) he defends his title against one of our favourite fighters, Dan Podmore who was unlucky to miss out on a world title fight back in January dew to injury. This is set to be a huge fight for both men but with the experienced Simon Haycock (Fitness factory Birmingham) behind Podmore we see only one out come.

Our Pick: Podmore via KO

Darch vs Barrett: British Title Fight

We turn our attention to this fight and its very hard to call, both fighters are very experienced and I’ve had the pleasure of watching them both fight and sharing some thoughts on other results with them. We like and respect Darch and Barrett but have to give our opinion on the fight. Barrett comes into this contest off the back of a good victory over Szymon Szynkiewicz at BKB 24 earing him this title shot. Darch was unlucky at the same show losing to a cut stoppage in a world title match, will he bounce back? A win here will likely earn a World Title match vs the winner of Podmore and Meikle so a lot is at stake, this will be a close contest.

Our Pick: Darch

Holmes vs Kelly: World Title Fight

This cross brand match (BYB Extreme Fighting Series) sees one of BKB’s best take on an American fighter who’s earnt respect and a title shot, but Anthony Holmes is a match for anyone and we think will make easy work of this.

Our Pick: Holmes KO

Lerwell vs McGraffin: World Title Fight

The 3rd World Title match of the night and its massive, this will be a fans favourite and could steal the show, McGraffin got offered this opportunity and couldn’t say no but its a big ask against the KO King Lerwell, we are looking forwards to this one.

Our Pick Lerwell KO

Leeson vs Murray; The Re-Match

This match happened back at BKB 24 and they couldn’t be separated, a draw was called so they go again. Murray will be ready for this, but not as ready as Leeson. We don’t see this going the same way and with his mind on bigger things this could be over quick.

Our Pick: Leeson KO

OFF

Olsen vs Szynkiewicz

Szynkiewicz will be looking to bounce back after defeat to Ryan Barrett in his last BKB outing. Eric Olsen, what can we say. He’s your classic marmite fighter love him (we do) or not his a great fighter and offers great entertainment, but after his last fight ending on a decision loss to Karl Hobley where he felt he was overly held we think Olsen will be on his best form here.

Our Pick: Olsen

Hilz vs Barbaru: Hopefully it happens…… NOPE Barbaru pulls out again (Clearly Scared) but there’s a replacement.

Hilz vs Tompkins:

So we are confident this will happen and we feel for Tompkins, credit for the late step in and short notice but as you can imagine Hilz is Pissed and will be taking that frustration out on the 11th June. Some night this will be.

Our Pick: Hilz

Remainder of Card:

Kerr vs Harison

Kerr’s last fight ended in a draw vs Evans at BKB 24. One step further this time we think.

Our Pick: Kerr

Bindon vs Tiffin

Tiffin is building his reputation nicely with a win last time out at BKB 24.

Our Pick: Tiffin

Our Pick: Lambert

Our Pick: Devall

UPDATE:

George vs McHugh

Hugh Fight added to an already packed card, BKB 26 is already off the scale. This fight between two warriors will be for the British and Police Gazette Titles. McHugh is an established fighter who never knows when to lose. George has literally had no time off since his win in Aprils BKB 25 vs Lafferty leaving him quiet banged up but the outlaw wont let that stop him, we think his ready for this.

Our Pick: George Win

Any further updates will be added. If interested in sponsoring a fighter contact BKB Official or the fighter of your choice.
